The narrative portion of this story was written over many years by my uncle, Russell K. Bond. The time, care, and love that he has given to chronicling the Bond family history is staggering. After many years of work and research, his original manuscript was published in 1986. The copy that I am using to create the bulk of this website was given to my father, Hiram R. Bond Jr. on February 11, 1986.
This story is written from my uncle's perspective, thus any first person references should always be attributed to him, unless otherwise noted. My goal with this website is to transcribe my uncle's book, "The Ancestors of Russell K. Bond", add updates where appropriate, and continue his research. ("The Ancestors of Russell K. Bond" is archived on microfilm by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints genealogy project.)
In February of 2006, I received a letter from my Uncle Russell informing me that he wished to hand down many of his historical Bond Family documents and artifacts that he had acquired over the years. I was honored to learn that I was to receive the bulk of these items. And it is to this end that I continue what Aunt Eva inspired and Uncle Russell created.
